A small toolkit for independent sellers
CartonMeter helps people who pack their own orders make everyday calculations: compare dimensional and scale weight, estimate rectangular carton capacity, total a shipment’s volume and account for packaging materials and time.
The tools are free to use and do not require an account in the application. They do not sell postage, obtain live carrier rates or book shipments.
How the tools work
Every calculator has a visible formula, a worked example and a statement of its limits. The calculations run in your browser. Inputs are not submitted by the calculator code or stored for later visits.
- Dimensional weight: volume divided by your selected factor, compared with actual weight.
- Carton fit: six uniform orientations of identical rectangular items with a per-side allowance.
- Box volume: rectangular volume and unit conversion.
- Packaging cost: your materials plus your selected value for packing time.
Editorial approach
